Polar Bear Challenge / Klondike Derby

January 28 - 29, 2012

Scouts will be participating in the annual ‘Klondike Derby’ at Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury, MA. For those who have never attended this great event, you are encouraged to go, mainly for the outdoor experience you will undoubtedly gain, the friends you’ll meet from other scouting districts, and the pure fun you’ll have. Scouts will be staying in tents, and must bring the proper cold-weather gear, which will be discussed in the meetings to come.

There is a list of gear on pages 264 and 270 - 273 of the Boy Scout Handbook that each scout will read over and check to make sure they have before the event. Congratulations. If you are reading this sentence, it means that you have actually read vital information concerning this once-a-year trip.

Meet at the Bright School parking lot at 7:30AM Saturday. We’ll all leave Nobscot on Sunday by 12:00Noon and return to the Bright School by 1:00pm. Call Eric Bergeron at 781-608-8126 or John Reilly at 781-893-2940 with any questions.
