Troop 250 has been serving youths in the Waltham area for over 50 years. We have 25 active scouts ranging in age from 11 to 17 years of age, and more than a dozen adult volunteers offering their time, wisdom and experience to help our program be among the best in the area.
The troop is active 12 months a year. Whether it’s camping, rock climbing, snow shoeing, canoeing, white water rafting or cycling, we have fun doing it all year long.
We meet regularly Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:45-8:30PM and go camping at least once per month. We also meet to plan our other activities such as summer camp or high adventure trips around the country.
This summer, several of our senior scouts are traveling to Cimarron, New Mexico to attend Philmont Scout Ranch, a National High Adventure base. Past excursions have included the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Virginia, Snow Shoeing in the White Mountains, and camping in New York City.
To find out more, come down and join us at a meeting some night, and bring a friend.
