About Us

Troop 250 has been serving youths in the Waltham area for over 50 years.  We have many active scouts ranging in age from 11 to 17 years of age, and more than a dozen adult volunteers offering their time, wisdom, and experience to help our program be among the best in the area.

The troop is active 12 months a year.  Whether it’s camping, rock climbing, snowshoeing, canoeing, whitewater rafting, or cycling, we have fun doing it all year long.

We meet regularly Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6:45-8:30 PM and go camping at least once per month.  We also meet to plan our other activities such as summer camp or high adventure trips around the country.

To find out more, come down and join us at a meeting some night, and bring a friend.

Baden-Powell Quotes

"A Scout is never taken by surprise; he knows exactly what to do when anything unexpected happens."

"Be Prepared... the meaning of the motto is that a scout must prepare himself by previous thinking out and practicing how to act on any accident or emergency so that he is never taken by surprise."

"The most important object in Boy Scout training is to educate, not instruct."

Lord Robert Baden-Powell (1847-1941), was a lieutenant-general in the British Army, writer, founder and Chief Scout of the Scout Movement.
